Responsible for managing projects related to editorial needs as well as developing tools for internal and external use. Meet with clients internal and external to develop timelines and UI/UX consideration. Cross the bridge of technical to non-technical speak to facilitate successful projects. Focus on code re-use and portability. Use of wide range of technologies and data sources (XML, CSV, JSON, postgres, Google Docs). Act as team leader on development projects. Mentor team to foster code efficiency and development. Assist in server maintenance and migration. Troubleshoot legacy code and assess usability and potential to migrate and/or update. Use of server directives to create RESTful URL schemes as well as enforce security. Custom authentication systems and encryption schemes for capturing information in the clear. Cross browser functionality. Use of external libraries and license compliance. Implementation of responsive web design.

Freelance Web Developer/Designer, (March 2002-Present)

I have been an independent Web developer, working with evolving technologies to build and modify client-driven sites. Some of these sites include: newtoyou.net; twitunez.com; wyzfam.com; alexhuttinger.com; traveldocument.com. Under development: socialjusticeprintmaking.org; http://wyzfam.com/camerondegrey/saad.php; Work with clients to perform needs assessment in order to ensure that the products delivered suit their goals, requirements and timeline. Employing current technologies and tools to wireframe, build, and launch sites. Manage sites (maintenance and tech support) based on customer input and/or create a content management system to enable clients to maintain the sites themselves. Work with clients to optimize their sites, further their identity and brand, and increase traffic through monitoring server logs, listing in directories (e.g., DMOZ, datasoftsystem), linking, and clean markup.

Migrated an existing authentication system to new site Modified authentication system for sitewide tracking in multiple realms (login areas). Implemented .htaccess to protect files. Enabled E-Mail notifications. Brainstormed solutions to streamline development.

Washington Apple Pi, Management Committee and Board of Directors (July 2009 - present)[ wap.org ]

Contribute to strategic planning, introduce new technologies, and provide technical assistance to other members. I have spoken on an array of topics at general meetings (Keynote and Multimedia) including coverage of Macworld. Collaborate with other internal committees in the Pi to accomplish goals. Implement and coordinate social and physical technologies. Plan, produce, and deliver speeches and presentations. Implement podcasts, and live iChat help services for members (current)
